Our Third Commercial Satellite
The latest addition to the Dragonette constellation, Dragonette-003, registered under the name EPICHyper-3, took off smoothly from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on November 11, 2023 onboard SpaceX’s Transporter-9 mission. Currently, the three Dragonettes are operating under an innovative space data as a service (SDaaS) agreement. In this partnership, AAC Clyde Space owns and operates the satellites, while Wyvern owns and licenses the high-resolution, hyperspectral data they deliver.
The Dragonette constellation is only the beginning of our journey. Wyvern is actively developing the imagers for its second generation of satellites. This updated technology will offer enhanced insights by extending our data’s spectral range, providing customers with even more valuable insights and strengthening Wyvern’s identity as the high-resolution hyperspectral data provider of choice.

Our Data Specifications
The Dragonette constellation is a constellation of hyperspectral satellites that capture data across 23-32 narrow spectral bands, allowing for the specific identification of unique chemical and physical properties of the Earth’s surface. This ability makes hyperspectral imagery a valuable tool for a wide range of site and resource monitoring, mapping, and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) use-case applications.
With a ground sampling distance of 5.3 metres, hyperspectral imagery delivered from our Dragonette constellation will provide detailed information about the Earth’s surface. Processed to Level 1B and delivered in STAC-compliant GeoTIFF format, we ensure seamless integration of Wyvern’s Dragonette data into your existing systems, workflows, and processes.
